Job Description
The IT Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT department within a steel manufacturing environment. This role ensures the integrity, performance, and security of the company’s IT systems, infrastructure, and manufacturing-specific software applications. The IT Lead supports production efficiency by implementing and maintaining technology solutions aligned with industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and support the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, and communication systems.
• Oversee ERP systems and production management software used in steel manufacturing (e.g., Odoo, MES systems).
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between IT systems and manufacturing operations.
• Supervise IT staff and manage daily operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support.
• Plan and implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Lead IT projects such as system upgrades, hardware installations, and network improvements.
• Develop IT policies, SOPs, and documentation for technology usage and system controls.
• Ensure data backup systems and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers for support and procurement.
• Provide training and support to employees on IT systems and best practices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, and cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with manufacturing software systems (e.g., ERP, Odoo, MES, SCADA).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
