Job Description
Job Summary: The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives. This role involves sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in both technical and non-technical procurement within the real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers of construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Conduct technical assessments of bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with the project director and engineers to determine material requirements and specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Non-Technical Procurement:
- Oversee the procurement of non-technical services, including facility management, security, and administrative services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with service providers and vendors to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers and service providers.
- Manage procurement budgets and track expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
General Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and industry trends.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast future procurement needs.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Strong leadership capabilities
- BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
Working Conditions:
- Location: Sheikh Zayed
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 1 flexible hour
- Weekends: Friday and Saturday
