Job Description

Responsible for managing and organizing all purchasing operations for the company, including raw materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring quality, appropriate costs, and timely delivery

 

  1. Have a strong background in Food and Beverage industry, familiar with dessert market
  2. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve the best value for the company.
  3. Manage supplier relationships and develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
  4. Negotiate contracts and purchasing terms to ensure the best prices and conditions.
  5. Analyze the company's material and equipment needs in coordination with various departments.
  6. Manage the request for proposals process, evaluate offers, and select appropriate suppliers.
  7. Ensure all purchasing operations comply with company policies, laws, and regulations.
  8. Monitor and regularly evaluate supplier performance.
  9. Manage strategic inventory and ensure the availability of essential materials.
  10. Analyze market trends and raw material prices to anticipate changes and adjust purchasing strategies.
  11. Develop and implement procedures to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs.
  12. Prepare and manage the annual purchasing budget.
  13. Coordinate with the finance department to ensure invoice accuracy and payment processes.
  14. Manage the purchasing team and develop their skills.
  15. Ensure adherence to quality standards in all purchases.
  16. Collaborate with the research and development department to identify and purchase new and innovative materials.
  17. Manage import and customs clearance processes for imported materials.
  18. Develop and implement a system to track and evaluate purchasing performance.
  19. Coordinate with the production department to ensure purchases align with production schedules.
  20. Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
  21. Participate in production planning to ensure material availability.
  22. Implement and manage procurement information systems to improve efficiency.
  23. Prepare periodic reports on the purchasing department's performance for senior management.
  24. Participate in trade shows and events to discover new suppliers and technologies.
  25. Ensure compliance with sustainability and social responsibility standards in purchasing operations.
  26. Collaborate with other departments to improve overall supply chain processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective purchasing strategies.
