Job Summary:

The surveying engineer in the aluminum field is responsible for conducting surveys related to aluminum fabrication and installation projects. This role involves measuring, mapping, and ensuring that installations meet precise specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Surveys:

  • Conduct surveys to determine the dimensions and contours of buildings or sites for aluminum installations.
  • Utilize surveying instruments such as total stations, levels, and GPS to gather accurate data.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports and drawings for project planning.
  • Verify the accuracy of measurements and identify any discrepancies.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to provide essential data for aluminum design and installation.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss survey findings and coordinate efforts with other disciplines.

Installation Support:

  • Provide on-site support during the installation of aluminum systems, ensuring alignment with specifications.
  • Conduct field checks to confirm that installations are carried out accurately.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure that aluminum products meet design and performance standards.
  • Address any issues that arise during the installation process and suggest corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all surveying and installation activities comply with local building codes and industry standards.
  • Prepare documentation for project approvals and inspections.

Technical Guidance:

  • Offer technical support and advice to the installation teams regarding survey techniques and best practices.
  • Assist in the development of project specifications and drawings.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in surveying, preferably within the aluminum or construction industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS), strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in surveying or construction management may be advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in various outdoor environments and conditions.
  • Familiarity with aluminum products and installation techniques is a plus.
