Job Description

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Creating and implementing sales strategies to meet the company’s revenue targets and expand its market share.
  • Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients (farmers, co-ops, agribusinesses).
  • Generating new leads and securing new business opportunities in the agricultural sector.

Product Knowledge and Promotion:

  • Providing expertise on agricultural products, such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, equipment, or technology solutions.
  • Demonstrating how these products can benefit clients and enhance agricultural productivity.

Team Leadership and Training:

  • Managing a team of sales representatives, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources.
  • Motivating and guiding the team to meet or exceed sales targets.

Negotiation and Closing Sales:

  • Negotiating pricing and terms with customers.
  • Closing sales deals and ensuring successful implementation or delivery of products.

Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitoring and analyzing sales performance metrics.
  • Reporting on market conditions, sales progress, and customer feedback to senior management.

Networking and Representation:

  • Attending agricultural trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Representing the company to potential clients and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Sales Experience: Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the agricultural, FMCG or related industries.
  • Agricultural Knowledge: Understanding of farming processes, crops, livestock, or agricultural technologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex products in simple terms.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively to secure profitable contracts.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in market analysis, competitor research, and sales forecasting.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address client concerns and find practical solutions for agricultural challenges.
