Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and versatile FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) Designer with strong sales skills to join our team. This role involves creating inspiring design solutions for our clients while also leveraging your expertise to drive sales. As part of our commitment to excellent customer service, this position requires availability for two night shifts per week on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Presentation:
- Develop creative and functional FF&E solutions for various projects, including residential, commercial, and hospitality settings.
- Prepare detailed 3D models, renderings, and mood boards to effectively present design concepts to clients.
- Select materials, finishes, and furniture pieces that align with client expectations and project requirements.
- Sales & Client Interaction:
- Engage with clients to understand their design needs and preferences, providing expert guidance throughout the design process.
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships and upsell additional design solutions or product offerings.
- Present and explain design proposals persuasively, addressing any client queries to facilitate a positive client experience and encourage sales.
- Project Coordination:
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure design elements are seamlessly integrated into project timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and furniture, ensuring timely deliveries that meet project specifications.
- Oversee quality control of FF&E selections, including site visits if required, to ensure alignment with design vision.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in FF&E design (imported furniture), preferably with exposure to sales or client-facing roles.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and sales tracking software (CRM experience a plus).
- Strong aesthetic sense, knowledge of current trends in furniture and decor, and the ability to translate client preferences into cohesive design solutions.
- Excellent communication and sales skills with a client-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work night shifts on a rotational basis.
