Job Description
During pre-contract phase:
Review prime contract documents and data in order to:
- Determine the extent of participation by each department.
- Achieve customer requirements and time schedule.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of technical and financial proposals, and contracts.
During design phases:
- Insure that all project team have the same understanding of project, customer requirements, and time schedule.
- Coordinate between the customer & design team and manage the transfer of data between them.
- Direct the preparation of design documents in all design phases including:
- Concept design report.
- Schematic design drawings and bill of items.
- Value engineering study.
- Detailed design drawings, bill of materials, and specifications.
- Construction drawings and cost estimate.
- Prepare transmittal advice and receive customer comments.
- Direct reissue of design documents whenever required by the customer.
During tender & construction phases:
- Direct the preparation of bid analysis.
- Control progress of material approval and shop drawing review.
- Identify major issues and act as necessary.
- Assist in change order evaluation.
General:
- Communicate with customers regarding their queries and requirements, and respond according to the output from related department(s).
- Attend progress technical meetings.
- Prepare invoices and copy them to financial manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree of Engineering.
- 6 to 8 years of experience.
- Previous experience in Project Management of an engineering consultancy firm is a must.
