Job Description
- Orienting the new foreign patient coordinator on their rights and responsibilities as patients of the hospital and documenting it in the patient’s file.
- Assist the non-Arabic speaker’s healthcare providers in interpreting instructions and advice to the foreign patients in an easy language so that it can be understood.
- The Foreigners Affairs Coordinator shall obtain the patient’s feedback to ensure understanding.
- Assist upon request of foreign patients in explaining the informed consent, if the patient feels that the previous explanation is insufficient. In this case, the Foreigners Affairs Coordinator shall verify with the treating physicians before doing so.
- Deals with other staff involved in a situation with foreigner patients by referring the same to the concerned department head (following the proper channels of communication).
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in public relations or any related field. (English Section)
Fluency in the English language is a must.
Previous Experience (Hospitals – Hotels – Resorts)
Ability to utilize skills effectively and as appropriate.
Ability to convince foreign patients to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, listen attentively to others, understands the material, and provide instructions to patients.
