Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Understand the technical specifications, features, and applications of the company's construction products and services.
  • Analyze customer requirements, engineering drawings, and project details to recommend the most suitable products and solutions.
  • Prepare sales proposals, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to effectively showcase the company's offerings.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to stay updated on new developments and incorporate customer feedback.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to network, generate leads, and build relationships.
  • Coordinate with the sales and project management teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and revenue goals set for the assigned territory or accounts.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and market trends to the management.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Travel within the assigned territory as required (up to 50% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) certification
  • Previous experience in a construction or building materials company
  • Familiarity with construction project management software

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a numeracy base
