Job Description
- Displays in-depth knowledge of the subject.
- Creates, updates and implements the curriculum, 10-month plans, weekly lesson plan, and assessments according to KOMPASS standards.
- Implements creative teaching styles that best support the different needs/levels of students.
- Implements and updates classroom centers creatively and regularly.
- Regularly assesses students’ learning by using multiple forms of assessment.
- Analyses student performance and creates a measurable action plan to enhance students’ performance.
- Uses critical thinking as a main approach in teaching.
- Uses positive classroom management to implement a pleasant and courteous learning environment.
- Uses school technology platforms efficiently and performs related tasks in a timely manner.
- Participates effectively in staff meetings and professional development plans.
- Efficiently implements skills related to professional development plans and takes responsibility for personal development.
- Follows through on all assigned school duties proficiently and punctually.
- Maintains professional and prompt communication with students, parents, and staff.
- Shows proficiency and positivity in performing other duties as assigned throughout the academic year.
- Conducts meetings with co-teachers and subject teachers aiming at promoting students’ academic performance.
- Takes initiative and be part of the school’s community (duties, events, school activities, etc...).
- Participates and performs assigned duties actively, effectively, and promptly (break duties, substitution classes, events, etc...).
Job Requirements
- Graduate in science or a related subject with a minimum of two years teaching experience in international schools.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Enthusiastic and innovative teacher with a passion for teaching, who can motivate and inspire students using a variety of strategies.
- Practical experience with MS Office, Google Classroom, and other software.
- Dedication, patience, and the ability to remain calm in tense situations.
- The ability to answer sensitive questions and create an environment where everyone’s opinions are respected.
- A passion for science and a commitment to continuing education.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A positive approach in classroom management.
