Job Description
- As a Database Administrator, you'll be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and improving PostgreSQL databases;
- Query analysis to understand how teams are using the data;
- Allocation of system storage and planning storage requirements;
- Planning backup and recovery of database information and managing data replication.
- You'll take ownership of DBA activities working alongside a Data Engineer and Data Science team.
Job Requirements
- Strong experience as a Database Administrator / DBA including performance tuning and optimization
- Experience in building and deploying PostgreSQL clusters into production
- Knowledge of Oracle is a big plus
- Experience in Linux environment.
- Experience in working with high availability, scalable environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative with strong communications skills, comfortable liaising with the business to understand user needs
