Role Summary:

Those who work as computer systems analysts take on a number of responsibilities. They may find out the technological needs of an organization through consulting with company managers and researching current and new technologies. They also perform cost/benefit analysis, explore ways to add functionality to current applications, and may even design new solutions should the project require. Computer systems analysts also oversee the installation and customization of new data exchange interfaces, test for functionality, and train end users in using the applications. They also review the solutions architecture and assess the reliability of the solution deployment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identifies solution requirements by interviewing and observing clients; analyzing processes and operations; establishing solution objectives; preparing specifications;
• Enables data exchange / interface with primary hospital HIS solutions in collaboration with solutions delivery team.
• Must be well versed with the UAE Health Regulators standards 
• Performs initial assessment of the established interface in terms of data integrity and workflows.
• Analyses data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding;
• Prepares customers to use processes by conducting orientation workshops and seminars; coordinating development, training needs, and communication requirements, coordinating hardware and software requirements, training services and information systems;
• Recommends improvements to systems by identifying, researching, and analyzing problems and assisting in implementing improvements;
• Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications and improvements;
• Champion the use of Business Process Management tools and principles for capturing, analyzing and developing integrated solutions;

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related IT courses
• Minimum 7 years of IT experience with background in application development or equivalent technical production support experience (required)
• Prior experience in healthcare sector is added advantage
• Have knowledge of HL7/ XML interfaces and webservices
• Experience in process and system design, project management as well as adequate programming and data mining skills.
• Good understanding of web-based distributed client server environment.
