Job Description
- Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and review procurement documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs), purchase orders, and contracts.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify procurement needs and specifications for construction projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues.
- Monitor supplier performance and adherence to contract terms, including quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of materials and equipment for ongoing construction projects.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce project costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
- Provide support and guidance to project teams on procurement-related matters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to obtain favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.
- 5 to 12 years of experience
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry standards.
