Senior Logistics Planner

For a very well known Company located in Alexandria, a senior logistics officer is urgently needed:

Job Description:

• Take charge of shipment once the copy of documents is received from suppliers till delivery to the warehouse.
• Follow up the import shipments procedure on NAFEZA along with the buyer.
• Prepare all the required clearance documents including pre-release.
• Prepare the logistics dept. reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).
• Handle and finalize all domestic approvals needed such as Veterinary, Halal, Health, Agriculture, and Import permit.
• Handle the communication with the Food Control office (health authority) regarding capacity letters and inspections.
• Follow up on the daily reports from clearance agents to monitor the shipment status.
• Contact freight forwards to obtain different shipping quotations and evaluate them to secure the best rate and service.
• Prepare all the required documents for export shipment and handle it till delivery at destination.
• Contact the insurance agents to acquire the best price for an insurance certificate.
• Prepare the customs duties forecast.
• Allocate the clearance cost per shipment at the ERP system.
