Job Description
- Develop robust demand forecasts utilizing statistical methods, market intelligence and collaboration internal stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough analysis of sales forecasts, incorporating marketing and financial insights.
- Track and report on forecast accuracy.
- Coordinate forecast updates and manage demand changes across key business areas.
- Collaborate with key customers on demand forecasting and planning.
- Analyze and optimize stock-keeping unit (SKU) coverage profiles, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Manage safety stock levels and participate in SKU selection processes.
- Identify and address potential capacity constraints that impact business goals.
- Collaborate with plants to manage medium and long-term capacity trade-offs.
- Monitor customer and inventory trends to recommend short-term forecast adjustments.
- Assist in adjusting inventory optimization plans to maximize gross margin return on investment while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
- Effectively communicate decisions and supply chain impacts to all relevant stakeholders throughout the planning process.
