Job Description
- Oversee Production Processes:
Manage and optimize the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
- Team Management:
Lead and supervise production staff, providing training and support to enhance productivity and workplace safety.
- Quality Control:
Implement quality assurance protocols to ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Warehouse Management:
Oversee the warehouse for raw materials and finished goods, collaborating with the procurement team to maintain sufficient supplies for seamless production.
- Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare daily and weekly reports on production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Day-To-Day Operations
- Morning Briefings:
Conduct daily meetings with staff to discuss production goals, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Production Monitoring:
Oversee the production line, ensuring that machines run efficiently and address any issues.
- Quality Inspections:
Perform regular checks on product quality, making adjustments to processes as necessary.
- Team Coordination:
Communicate with different departments, such as maintenance and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
- Data Analysis:
Analyze production data to track performance, identify trends, and develop strategies for improvement.
- Health, Safety, & Environment
Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Language: English is very good
- Experience: 5 to 10 years experience as a Production Manager, preferably in the pulses, grains, or agricultural sector,
Skills: Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control standards, with knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and/or certification in lean practices.
