Job Description

  • Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
  • Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
  • Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
  • Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
  • Tracking stock in the inventory and restocking the items as and when required. 
  • Updating the order details in the internal database. 
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends in Technology.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and send them to vendors, partners, or distributors.
  • Assist in the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and services to meet project timelines and requirements.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure that the BOM includes all necessary components, quantities, and specifications required for project completion.
  • Implementing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers
  • Maintain accurate and detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for all procurement activities, and collaborate with engineering and project management teams to update BOMs as project requirements change.
  • Select suppliers that offer the best value for the required goods and services.
  • Assist in drafting and finalizing contracts with selected suppliers, ensuring that all terms, pricing, and BOM details are clearly defined.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to understand requirements and specifications.
  • Provide support in the selection of products and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of goods and services.
  • Conduct research on suppliers and vendors of goods and services.
  • Receive purchasing requests from sales team and create price offers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, vendors and develop new partnerships.
  • Conduct market trend and pricing analysis to contribute to making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier quotes and proposals based on price, quality, delivery time, and compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver semiannual presentations that highlight key achievements, performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function, staying up-to-date of industry trends and market conditions.
  • Provide recommendation new products, services, or materials in keeping with industry trends
  • Assist in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions.

Job Requirements

        Minimum Knowledges.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, engineering, or relevant degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the same industry.
  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management

 

            Minimum Skills.

  • Negotiation skills to Influencing stakeholders and closing deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork skill to effectively working with cross-functional teams.
  • presentation skills to effectively present ideas to diverse audiences, and present information and reports to top management.
  • Proficient in MS applications, as well as ERP and CRM systems.
  • Technical Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • Technical Proficiency in IT products and services.
  • Problem Solving skill to breaking down complex problems into manageable components and developing effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Minimum Abilities.

  • Ability to analyze data and market trends.
  • Attention to Detail ability to maintain accuracy in managing BOM, contracts, and procurement records.
  • Multitasking ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours, while performing desk-based tasks.
  • Ability to travel as required to support business needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight schedule
  • Adaptable in adjusting to changing project conditions and managing uncertainty.
