As we continue to grow, we're on the lookout for an energized On-Site Civil Engineer to join our team of go-getters.The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of hotel refurbishment projects, contributing to the enhancement of our managed properties. 

Your Role’s Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

*Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, deadlines, and resource requirements for hotel refurbishment projects.

*Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination.

On-site and In-office Work: 

*The successful candidate will be required to work both on-site and in the office as needed, demonstrating flexibility to meet project demands.

*Oversee on-site activities, ensuring that construction and refurbishment work adhere to project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.

*Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.

Budget Management:

*Work closely with the finance department to manage project budgets effectively, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.

*Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to secure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Travel: *Willingness to travel between different project sites across Egypt as necessary to oversee and coordinate engineering activities.

Value Engineering: *Apply expertise in value engineering principles to optimize project designs and ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.

Experience: *Demonstrate a minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Site Purchasing: *Assist in site purchasing activities, collaborating with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and equipment.

Bill of Quantities (BOQs): *Prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates for civil engineering projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.

Client Liaison:

*Act as the primary point of contact for the hotel management team, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.

*Collaborate with the hotel staff to minimize disruptions to guests and operations during the refurbishment.

Contractor and Vendor Management:

*Select, hire, and manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors involved in the refurbishment project.

*Ensure that all parties adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and contractual agreements.

Risk Management:

*Identify potential risks and challenges associated with on-site activities and implement proactive measures to mitigate these risks.

*Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen circumstances that may impact project timelines or costs.

Quality Assurance:

*Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure that refurbishment work meets established standards.

*Address any deviations from the approved design or specifications promptly and effectively.

Timeline Adherence:

*Enforce project timelines and deadlines, taking proactive measures to address any delays and expedite critical path activities.

*Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient handover and reopening of refurbished areas.

 

 

Job Requirements
