Job Description
- Lead the project team to effective and efficient achievement of Projects objectives and KPis by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize performance. productivity and Quality
- Develop and prepare Project’s General Plan, detailed execution time and cost plans, budget, projects goals and priorities by collaborating with Projects Manager and Managing Director
- Monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, corrected promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon
- Prepare the organizational structure for the project in coordination with the projects Director, participate in Hiring , training , development , transfer and termination , rewarding and disciplinary processes regarding Human resources according to polices and According to the authority Matrix.
- Determine needed resources (equipment and materials) in terms of quality and quantity from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations and Efficient utilization according to the Project’s time schedule .
- Representing the Company in the work site and procedures for the initial and final project handover
- Representing the project technically in front of the client, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers within the limits of the powers of the job and building good relations with them.
- Leading the day-to-day operations to ensure executing the project plans as deigned accordance with the approved general, interim, detailed schedules and within the contractual terms, requirements, specifications of the client and consultants, in addition to comply with established policies, processes, procedures of safety, quality and business standards.
- Lead and coordinate all the technical matters between the technical office, consultants, procurement, and subcontractors to solve any potential problems in alignment with the projects manager.
- Evaluation of subcontractors in order sent to the Projects Department and Executive Management to be taken into consideration when revising and updating the subcontractors register.
- Approving interim invoices of the subcontractors and suppliers, and making recommendations for timing or splitting the exchange, or applying a delay penalty in accordance with the agreed terms and dates, in addition approving the payments on account to subcontractors or suppliers against a current receipt, provided approvals based on the authority matrix.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Attend progress meetings, discusses, suggests technical proposals and corrective actions.
- Support in planning and cost control department in monitoring projects' monthly progress.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls across the project to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude
Job Requirements
- BS degree in civil, architecture engineering or related engineering field
- Proven working experience in construction management with 5-7 years solid experience in same position and accountability scope.
- Strong leadership , interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced Negotiation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management polices , procedures and processes
- Experience with construction management software
- Advanced Strategic planning and Project management skills
- Outstanding knowledge of building Safety and quality standards
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Advanced time-management skills
