Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Office Engineer to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized construction projects from inception to completion. This will include overseeing design, estimating costs, preparing and reviewing technical documents, and coordinating with project teams. The Technical Office Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage small to medium-sized construction projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Review and approve subcontractor proposals and estimates.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Attend project meetings and prepare reports to update stakeholders on project progress.
• Ensure that projects comply with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Manage change orders and variations to project scope.
• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
• Review and approve shop drawings submitted by contractors and subcontractors to ensure they comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Prepare shop drawings for various components based on the design and specifications provided by architects and engineers.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure that shop drawings are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all shop drawings are accurate, complete, and meet the requirements of the project.
• Provide technical support to contractors and subcontractors regarding the preparation of shop drawings.
• Maintain accurate records of all shop drawings and related correspondence.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil/architectural engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
• Experience with project management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience working on small to medium-sized construction projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Experience with shop drawing preparation and review processes.
• Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
