Job description:

  • Create detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Ensure that designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, including project specifications, reports, and proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
  • Assist in the selection of materials and components for mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material acquisition.
  • Contribute to the estimation of project costs related to mechanical systems and components.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that mechanical systems meet specified standards.
  • Conduct inspections and tests during the construction and installation phases.

Job Requirements

  • Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
  • Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, or other)
  • Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, etc.
  • strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Additionally, a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards is essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
  • Technical writing skills.
  • BSc degree in Engineering
