Manage and lead the finance functions, while working closely with the CEO and related departments on internal controls, audits and reporting in order to ensure that financial statements are accurate and transactions are in compliance with the company's policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, financial and accounting reporting standards and ensure that Qatar GEO can deliver on its contractual commitments through access to the required funding and banking facilities.Detailed Job DescriptionOperationsSupport the country management in its strategic decisions and ensure the consistency of the financial targetsTake the lead on management account to monitor the operational performance together with the operational teams on siteSupport business development projects in compliance with Group proceduresAssist Business Unit sales representatives in calls for tenders (search for banks to issue guarantees, third-party solvency research, foreign exchange hedging, possible establishment of permanent establishments, etc.)Formulate and lead the implementation of the finance strategies in line with the company's vision, mission and corporate objectives.Ensure that the overall strategy is translated into annual operational budget and the performance is monitored monthly to ensure plans are aligned with the overall strategy.Assist with any relevant legal advisor liaison or matters.Assist all departments with follow up and monitoring of corporate matters and company contracts.Participate in the implementation of purchasing/service agreements and negotiations.Ensure the implementation and execution of finance and procurement activities based on Lean management principles and continuous improvement.Work in close cooperation with all other departments to maximize overall company performance and resource efficiency/effectiveness and financial performance understanding.Act as financial signatory in accordance with applicable PoA's and authority matrix.Establishing , developing and maintaining positive relations with senior management/stakeholders and other external parties.Monitor the efficiency, Resource, Synergy plan at Qatar levelUndertake any other reasonable work or related task at the request of the CEO.Supervision and managementSupervise and manage the finance team in Qatar, secure and make sure all finance Veolia processes are implemented in all Qatar projectsDefine and anticipate Finance function evolution to support Internal / external growthLead the effective achievement of functional objectives by setting individual objectives for the finance team members, by managing their performance, developing and motivating, providing formal appraisals and informal feedback, in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.Proactive support to the roll-out of ERP & Digital strategyProcesses & controlCoordinate the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget and long term plans in line with corporate guidelines and monitor the financial performance versus the budget while potential performance improvement opportunities are also realized.Prepare and present monthly financial performance reports including financial status, budgets, income, expenditures, reserves and liquidity to facilitate strategic decision making.Initiate, coordinate and liaise with appointed financial and ICV auditors to ensure audit initiation and completion within the agreed time frame.Ensure that all finance and procurement activities/functions/controls are performed in accordance with best practicesEnsure that the Qatar laws (related to finance, fiscal and legal matters) and International Accounting Standards are properly applied.TreasuryResponsible for all banking activities including liaison, cheque books, transfers, hedging, bank guarantees, etc.Manage and update the revolving periodic cash flow report.Direct the execution of all treasury activities in the most effective and efficient manners, and in compliance with the corporate financial policies and procedures through ensuring sufficient level of liquidity that meets the organization's financial needs and requirements, and maintaining sufficient utilization of the cash reserves.QualificationsMaster's degree in Finance or Accounting, or a professional accounting qualification or equivalent.CPA or CMA certified preferred.10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation with managerial experienceAdditional Information Personal Attributes Strong team
