Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Contracts Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for appraising contractual documents, allocating potential risks, and providing legal/contractual countermeasures during the tender stage. This role involves managing contract administration works, conducting regular site visits, and tracking detailed anticipated final forecast values through variation orders, site instructions, claims, and contractual charges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Appraise contractual documents and allocate potential risks.
- Provide legal and contractual countermeasures during the tender stage.
- Manage contract administration, including regular site visits.
- Track contract's detailed anticipated final forecast values.
- Collaborate with the team at all levels to develop major claims.
- Perform delay analysis with planners.
- Ensure accurate execution and satisfaction of terms, conditions, and pricing in agreements.
- Report the status of current contract processes to the Contract Director.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is a must.
- CLAC certification is highly preferable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and contract management software.
- Experience in project management, contractor billing, and rate analysis.
- Ability to prepare tenders and possess expert mathematical skills.
