Job Description

An Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the accounting department of an organization. The primary duties of an Accounting Manager include financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting team. A typical Accounting Manager job description may include the following:
Financial Reporting: Preparing financial reports for senior management, the board of directors, investors, and regulatory agencies.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets and forecasting financial results for the organization.
Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis and interpreting financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
Accounts Receivable: Overseeing the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
Accounts Payable: Overseeing the accounts payable function, including vendor management, invoice processing, and payment processing.
General Ledger Management: Managing the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or accounting is preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior leadership position.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Understanding of tax laws and regulations.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred.
