Job Description
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Responsible for "the engineering practice devoted to the management of project cost, involving such activities as estimating, cost control, cost forecasting, investment appraisal and risk analysis. Cost Engineers budget, plan and monitor investment projects.
- Develop, implement, feed, reconcile, and maintain valuable project control databases and reports for all projects.
- Responsible for developing various cost estimate levels for various projects, provide cost engineering expertise and develops cost estimation for the projects.
- Takes a lead in preparing schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations as requested and checks and confirms that the correct scope of work is reflected on assigned schedules.
- Establish and implements methods for determining activity durations within assigned disciplines or specialties.
- Reviews and assesses the work sequences with the total project plan, develop quantity release and/or installation curves for assigned disciplines/areas or specialties.
- Reviews and approves invoice verification for payment based on cost-loaded schedules, as required.
It is also a plus too:
- Plan and prepare the Level 4 schedule in Primavera 6.0 and Assigned work breakdown structure code and cost elements for all the equipment/material procured + Manpower, In addition to preparing:- S-Curve and Manpower Histogram Charts.
- Updated schedule in Primavera 6.0 & forecasting progress and schedule for refinery execution project.
Job Requirements
Typical skills, and background:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering with domain experience in project business.
- Postgraduate study / MBA is highly preferable.
- Software Skills: (AutoCAD- Primavera - MS project - Power BI) is a must.
- PRMG / PMP preparation Course.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Arabic language is required.
- Extensive experience in construction, with at least 10 to 15 years in the same position.
