Job Scope
 

• The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and assisting in budget preparation. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely. The Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with other departments to support business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in tax preparation.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted figures.
• Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during audits.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable processes to ensure timely payments.
• Collaborate with project managers to track project costs against budgets.
• Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
