Young Coder, a project by SSTA, delivers fun and interactive coding lessons for children aged 7-12, nurturing their curiosity and technical skills through engaging, project-based learning.
As an Online Coding Instructor, you’ll teach coding concepts and guide kids through projects in Scratch, Python, game development, AI, and robotics. You'll lead exciting, hands-on sessions, inspire students to think critically and cultivate a passion for technology.
- Conduct engaging, project-based lessons in Scratch, Python, AI, robotics, and game development.
- Develop curriculum and create interactive projects tailored to young learners.
- Provide personalized feedback to students and track their progress.
- Foster a positive, creative, and supportive learning atmosphere online.
Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Scratch, and block-based coding platforms.
- Expertise in game development using tools like Unity or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, and their applications in education.
- Experience in robotics, mechatronics, or embedded systems (Arduino, mBlock, etc.).
- Familiarity with coding simulations, IoT, and hands-on STEM tools for kids.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related fields.
- Prior teaching experience with young students in a coding or STEM-related context (online preferred).
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for young learners.
- Additional certifications in AI, robotics, or software development are a plus.
