Job Summary
The role of Junior Accounting Assistant is to provide assistance with administration and bookkeeping for our accounts department, making invoices and reconciling these with client’s payments and suppliers’ charges.
Responsibilities and Duties
Taking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence and filing.
Preparing invoices and reconciling these with client’s payments and suppliers’ charges.
Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
Checking suppliers’ invoices and paying these in a timely manner in accordance with their payment policies.
Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 1 year experience in a Junior Accounting Assistant or similar role.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
Solid basic accountancy and basic bookkeeping skills
Solid understanding of financial systems and processes.
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Punctual, organised and detail focused.
Self-motivated, able to work to targets and use own initiative.
Ability to prioritise workload and effectively manage time.
Flexible approach and professional, can-do attitude.
Ability to work accurately and consistently deliver work at a high standard.
Good team player who can work autonomously and be proactive in supporting team colleagues.
High standard of spoken and written English and excellent numeracy skills.
Working Hours and location
Working hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm UK time Monday to Friday and 2 weekends a month is required.
This is a remote working position with occasional meetings at our office in Cairo. The successful candidate can work from home or other suitable location, eg. internet café. This position requires 100% online availability during working hours.
