Job Description
- Cost Analysis: Analyze project costs and operational expenses, identifying variances and trends to provide actionable insights.
- Budget Management: Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for various projects, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts for management, highlighting deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Process Improvement: Implement cost control processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste across operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and department heads to ensure alignment on financial goals and cost management strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits related to cost management and provide necessary documentation and reports.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience as a Cost Controller or in a similar financial role, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in cost control within manufacturing, construction, or other industrial environments.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
