Job Summary:
The Material Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory of materials and supplies within the organization. This role involves ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating with various departments to optimize material usage and minimize waste.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring all transactions are recorded promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate orders to replenish materials as needed.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and maintain reports related to inventory levels, material usage, and procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding material handling and inventory management.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in materials control, inventory management roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
