Job Description
- making sure that financial reports are up-to-date and compliant with standards. producing periodic activity updates for top management.
- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.
- He will have several direct reports and work to allocate tasks evenly across the team. Responsible for driving team performance and getting the most out of individual contributors.
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- month and end-year process
- accounts payable/receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- capital assets reconciliations
- trust account statement reconciliations,
- fixed asset activity
- Year-end financial audit activities
- Annual corporate financial controls audit
- debt activity
Job Requirements
- Holding IFRIS Or CMA is a must.
- Previous experience in big four audit firm is required
- Experience at Distribution or retail Industry is preferable.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and ERPs “oracle” programs.
- Ability to set up databases and handle large amounts of data.
- Proficiency in communication skills and dealing with different personalities.
- Ability to monitor & direct the work process.
- Attention to detail and providing recommendations and suggestions.
