Job Description
GPS Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of the GPS tracking system for the fleet. This role involves monitoring vehicle performance, optimizing route planning, reducing fuel consumption, and enhancing overall fleet productivity.
- Oversee the daily operation of the GPS tracking system, ensuring all vehicles are accurately monitored.
- Analyze GPS data to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve fuel efficiency.
- Coordinate with the dispatch and operations teams to address any real-time issues that arise.
- Develop reports on vehicle performance, driver behavior, and fleet utilization for management review.
- Train drivers and other staff members on the effective use of GPS technology and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with external supplier to troubleshoot and resolve any GPS-related technical issues.
- Implement strategies to reduce idle times, unauthorized stops, and other inefficiencies.
- Monitor and update GPS systems to keep data accurate and relevant .Optimize route planning to enhance overall fleet efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Work closely with drivers, maintenance teams, and other relevant stakeholders to address operational challenges.
- Implement and oversee the use of technology solutions for fleet monitoring.
- Provide training to staff on the use for any relevant tracking tools.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Educational Requirements: BSc
Special Certification or Training Required: Data Analytics
Required Industry Experience: Not less than 3 years
Technological Requirements: Microsoft Office - ERP
Language Requirements: Good
