We specialize in custom and standard rugs that are vibrant, interactive, and eco-friendly, designed to create safe and worry-free spaces for children to play. We are seeking a passionate and innovative Part-Time Designer to join our team and help bring our creative vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development:
- Create innovative and engaging designs tailored to children, incorporating playful and colorful elements.
- Develop unique patterns, textures, and motifs that align with Carpetivity’s brand identity.
- Collaborate with the team to refine ideas and finalize designs.
Color Selection & Outlines:
- Research and select color palettes that resonate with children and align with market trends.
- Prepare clear and detailed outlines for manufacturing to ensure design accuracy.
Social Media & Website Content:
- Design visually appealing graphics and content for social media posts, stories, and website updates.
- Adjust and optimize existing visuals for various platforms to maintain consistency.
Trend Research & Innovation:
- Stay updated on design and market trends to inspire fresh ideas.
- Suggest creative solutions and product innovations to enhance the brand’s appeal.
Collaboration & Feedback:
- Work closely with the marketing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and on-brand.
- Incorporate feedback to continuously improve and refine designs.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- A strong portfolio showcasing creative and playful design work, preferably for children or home decor.
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
- A good eye for color theory, patterns, and design aesthetics.
- Knowledge of social media design trends and website content requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in textile or rug design.
- Familiarity with eco-friendly materials and sustainable design practices.
- Background in children’s product design is a plus.
