Job Description
- Design, develop, and implement instructional materials for both online and classroom-based training.
- Collaborate with SMEs to identify learning objectives, content requirements, and delivery methods.
- Apply adult learning theory, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and best practices in eLearning development.
- Create storyboards, scripts, course outlines, and visual aids using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar.
- Develop engaging and interactive eLearning modules using SCORM/xAPI standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, metrics, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain and update existing course materials based on changing business needs.
- Mentor junior instructional designers and contribute to team process improvements.
- Stay current with trends in instructional design, emerging technologies, and learning platforms.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a corporate, academic, or government setting.
- Proven experience designing and developing eLearning courses using authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc.).
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Gagne’s principles, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) or video editing tools is a plus.
- Experience with microlearning, gamification, and mobile learning concepts is preferred.
