Job Description

At Get tech force we help companies build their teams. We currently have over 35 remote developers in Egypt and are looking to expand our team now, by looking for 1 remote Linux System Developer.

The role will be Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm as the main development hub is in Europe. After some time and when some trust has been built up, our other developers have moved to a Sunday - Thursday work week.This is a full time role, but you will be a private contractor and responsible for your own taxes / insurance etc. It will be 100% remote, so you can work from where ever you want. 

We are currently expanding our team in Egypt, so you will have access to our other developers and we plan on having nights out and events with other team members as we continue to grow.

 

The job Responsibilities are:

  • Troubleshooting Linux (Debian, CentOS), Apache, PHP, MySQL, etc.
  • Communicate on current document processes and assist in improvement suggestions.
  • Learn and adapt to the ServerHub platform, and adapt to rapid changes.
  • Troubleshoot issues escalated for resolution.
  • Collaborate with management and team to improve the infrastructure.
  • Participate in the products/tools development using Java based frameworks.
  • Create automated and scaling architecture for our cloud physical servers.
  • Plan, build and manage automation tools and scripts.

Job Requirements

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • 3 years of work experience as a technical support engineer

Experience in:

  • Linux (Debian, CentOS)
  • Java Applications
  • MongoDB, MariaDB
  • LAMP Setup (Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP)
  • LPIC-1 Cert (not a must have)
  • Shell scripting and/or Ansible configuration management
  • Managing databases such as MySQL, MS-SQL, MongoDB.
  • Experience in SOAP, Rest, API and integration
  • Knowledge in in Java/Spring.
  • Knowledge in docker, Jenkins, Cloud platform.
  • Excellent oral and written communication with peers, product teams, management, and customers.
