Job Description
- Study all the tender documents including the General, Specific, Technical, Commercial & Legal terms & conditions.
- Attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals with clients.
- Participate in reviewing different types of contracts.
- Build and maintain pricing / estimating databases.
- Contact and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to receive their offers that match project specifications.
- Negotiate subcontractors to achieve best prices and follow the procurement process.
- Prepare the subcontractors contracts.
- Follow the materials submitting.
- Manage and review quantity surveying for the entire project.
- Manage and review the shop drawings.
- Prepare & review the subcontractor invoices according to work executed on site.
- Review client invoices with the consultant.
- Manage the quality assurance activities.
- Prepare material technical datasheet submittal & material inspection request.
- Prepare variation orders for client approval.
- Take part in project and risk management reviews
- Attend technical and progress meeting with clients and consultants as required.
Job Requirements
- BSc in civil engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a technical office engineer (for construction, infrastructure, electromechanical, installation projects)
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge in dealing with design software (Autocad / 3D Max)
- Familiarity with health and safety standards.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills and interpersonal skills..
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities and supervision skills.
