**Job Title:** Chef de Partie

**Department:** Kitchen

**Reports To:** Sous Chef / Head Chef

**Job Overview:** The Chef de Partie is a vital part of our kitchen team, responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, such as sauces, vegetables, fish, or pastry, with the goal of delivering high-quality dishes in their area of expertise. This role involves a mix of culinary skills, team coordination, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities and Duties:**
- Take full responsibility for the management of a specific section of the kitchen.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty.
- Ensure that all dishes are cooked and presented to the highest standard in accordance with menu specifications.
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new menu items and dishes.
- Supervise and train any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you, helping them to develop their skills.
- Ensure your section is fully prepared for service times.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring that your section is stocked with high-quality fresh ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, Health and Safety, and cleanliness regulations.
- Manage food ordering for your section, in collaboration with the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
- Continuously work on improving the efficiency and productivity of your section.

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie.
- Formal culinary training and qualifications are highly regarded.
- In-depth knowledge of your area of specialization, whether it be pastries, butchery, fish, sauces, etc.
- A strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Creative thinking skills to develop and introduce new recipes and menus.
- Good leadership and training skills to mentor lower-level chefs.

- The ability to work as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to give clear instructions.

**Work Environment:**
