Supervise Civil/structural, MEP construction activities of office building fit-out; monitoring the construction sequencing and project schedule

Coordinate the project with internal team, contractor, subcontractors and vendors regarding time schedule, material specification and quality.

Facilitate problem solving, as they arise, between subcontractors and vendors during fit- out.

Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
- Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittal.
- Monitor and supervise the project execution process on-site to ensure completion of the job within specified time frames, in an organized and cost-effective manner, in accordance with the approved design and quality standards.
- Examine the drawings, assess the material requirements, approve and submit material requisitions accurately.
- Examine the project program based on the schedules, assess the material and manpower requirement for the job.
- Coordinate with building owner for necessary inputs/permissions to contractor.
- Coordinate with contractor, subcontractors and vendors for drawings, plans, schedules and problems for quick resolution of all issues. Monitor progress against the project plan, taking quick corrective action where required.
- Conduct quality checks on works carried out.
- Coordinate with the statutory agencies during spot checks on the site and ensure adherence to Quality, Health and Safety regulations on site.
- Supervise work at the site regularly; attend to all technical and engineering problems, drawing changes, etc., in an effective and timely manner thereby achieving requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor the testing and commissioning of MEP equipment
- Coordinate between design, procurement, contracts, and site installation.
- Support the handover of project within time, quality and cost proposed and give viewpoints.
- Monitor health and safety requirements on site.
- Follow-up with deliverables of labor and report the activities on a regular basis to management;
- Control and follow-up with projects logistics and materials site installation.
- Coordinate with different stakeholders for the job execution.
- Review Contractor invoices for compliance with Bechtel requirements and recommend as appropriate invoices for payment.
- Assist in closeout of the project.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural or Electrical with not less than 5 years of experience.
- Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast project requirements.
- Able to work well within a team-based environment.
- Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable.
- Multi-basking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Good practical organization skills, planning of resources and program scheduling.
- IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with commercial buildings fit-out construction is preferable.
- Good command of English language and native Arabic.
