Job Description
The company is seeking a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) specialist to grow our website’s digital presence. The SEO specialist will split time between natural search activities and pay-per-click (PPC) search advertising or search engine marketing (SEM). Relative to PPC, he or she will manage the advertising at the account level for Google as well as the day-to-day campaign-level activities.
The scope of natural search responsibilities relate to both technical and on-page consultation, including keyword research, UX considerations, competitive analysis, content optimization, page- and site-development advisement, link development, social and other channel integration, international search issues, and more. The manager will also play a key role in the tracking and reporting of key performance metrics for both natural and PPC search, as well as help formulate and implement SEO goals and strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the management team, social marketing team, and web developers to design, implement, and manage a company-wide SEO marketing strategy
- Optimize conversion rates and increase company ROI
- Create content and outreach strategy
- Develop and implement a link building plan
- Provide search engine optimization oversight for company content
- Monitor SEO performance by using SEO tools available (Google Analytics, Omniture, Google Webmaster Tools, etc.)
- Prepare and present regular bi-weekly / monthly SEO performance reports to management
- Conduct keyword research including industry trends and competitive analysis
- Maintain an awareness of competitive information and key industry trends to provide context for our performance.
- Understand specific market niche and develop successful keyword strategies
- Identify opportunities to improve search engine rankings based on technical recommendations
- Compile and analyze search data and metrics and present formal recommendations to management using PowerPoint and/or MS Excel
- Build brand awareness using digital channels
- Perform regular site audits to identify areas of opportunity for growth in natural search
- Communicate with business leaders regarding explanations of SEO strategies, tactics, recommendation deliverables, and performance issues
- Offer and defend solutions to business problems based on experience and best practices
- Introduce the latest technologies and influence internal SEO methodologies
- Prioritize many competing needs, monitor and maintain momentum on a number of concurrent projects for numerous internal stakeholders
Job Requirements
- 2 – 5 years professional experience in search engine optimization (natural and PPC SEO as well as Adwords account management required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Proven history of success in SEO marketing
- SEO/digital agency experience a plus
- Expert knowledge of SEO strategies and techniques
- Passion for search engine technologies and algorithms
- Experience with Google Analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Computer Science a plus
- Deep understanding of web analytics – ability to create diagnostic or analytical reports in Excel required, along with experience with KPI definition and reporting; VoC and UX testing (e.g., A/B, Optimizely) a plus.
- Experience with Site Catalyst a plus
- In-depth experience with two or more of the following SEO tools required: SEMRush, Moz, DeepCrawl, Majestic, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or BrightEdge
- Experience with web development and content management (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
- Strong understanding of capabilities of web platforms, marketing automation and social media tools
- Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to travel required
- Collaborative working style to build relationship
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
