Job Description
- Our client is a German Development agency that provides services in the field of international development cooperation.
- They are looking for an Advisor (for the Egyptian Dual System project– also known as The Mubarak –Kohl Initiative).
He / She will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the organization of information workshops and training activities in the partner governorates for the project partners in the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Private Sector.
- Providing professional advisory services on the regulatory framework and governance mechanisms of the Egyptian Dual System.
- Cooperating with a broad range of target groups (companies, schools, government entities, private sector entities).
- Supporting the dialogue between public and private partners of the Egyptian Dual System.
- Planning and implementing independently training activities and information workshops in the partner governorates of the project for intermediaries of the component
- Liaising with development partners and intermediaries, especially on regional level
- Supporting the component monitoring and updating information on progress and reporting regularly on the status of results
- Preparing contracts for short-term experts assigned to the project
- Preparing and carrying out qualitative research projects in the area of Dual System based on requests by the commissioner and the project partners
- Drafting reports and translates documents (Arabic/English/Arabic)
- Preparing, updating and collecting information for internal and external communication
Job Requirements
- BA/MA/BSc in education, economics or development plus 5 years minimum experience in a comparable position and / or organizations
- Excellent skills in technical writing in English.
- Experience in the cooperation with public entities on the governorate level & private sector companies / entities.
- Experience in technical and vocational education and training as well as youth employment / employability.
- Familiar with the gender equity subject is a plus.
- Very good working knowledge of ITC technologies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Capacity to work well in a multicultural context and a team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and sometimes long working hours.
- It is expected that more than 50% of the working time will be in the field.
- The work location will be at the head Office in Downtown Cairo, with frequent field trips to several Governorates across Egypt.
- Someone with an HR experience in industrial sector is a plus.
