Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GL (General Ledger) Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the construction or manufacturing sector and a strong understanding of general ledger processes. The candidate must also have excellent English communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Prepare monthly payroll statements and ensure timely disbursement.
- Generate and manage monthly accrual statements to support financial reporting.
Job Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, specifically in the construction or manufacturing industry (mandatory).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Odoo) is highly preferred.
- Good English skills (intermediate level at least) for communication and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
