Job Description
Expert in using the Amadeus GDS to book and manage complex travel arrangements. This role provides high-touch service to corporate clients, VIP travelers, and leisure customers, ensuring seamless itineraries while maximizing efficiency and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Amadeus GDS Expertise
Efficiently book flights, hotels, car rentals, and tours using Amadeus (including advanced features like Pricing, Queues, and Scripting).
Handle exchanges, reissues, and refunds for air tickets.
Manage corporate travel profiles, negotiated rates, and loyalty programs.
2. Client Service & Travel Consulting
Provide personalized travel recommendations based on client preferences.
Resolve travel disruptions (delays, cancellations, visa issues) proactively.
Offer VIP/concierge-level service for high-net-worth clients.
3. Sales & Revenue Optimization
Upsell premium cabins, hotels.
Promote packages, group travel, and promotional deals.
Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
4. Training & Mentorship
Train junior agents on Amadeus shortcuts, best practices, and automation.
Assist with GDS troubleshooting and error resolution.
5. Compliance & Accuracy
Ensure IATA compliance in ticketing and documentation.
Verify visa, health, and entry requirements for international trips.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory Requirements
10+ years of hands-on Amadeus GDS experience (certification preferred).
Deep knowledge of airline policies, fare rules, and travel industry trends.
Experience in corporate travel management (a plus).
Technical Skills
Advanced Amadeus Selling Platform proficiency (including Cryptic Entries).
Basic understanding of travel APIs (for automation).
Soft Skills
Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure (e.g., last-minute changes, emergencies).
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
