Job Description
* Installing and configuring computer systems.
* Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
* Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, Oversee performance of computer systems.
* Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults, finding solutions to problems and fixing a major fault on the operating system and replacing parts as required.
* Providing support, and documentation.
* Following written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
* Running network applications to support systems and users and supporting new applications.
* Setting up new users.
* Prioritizing and managing several open cases at one time.
* Testing and evaluating new technology.
* Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
* Read technical manuals, conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
* Refer major software or hardware problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
* Technical support officer for Head Office and stores as assigned.
Job Requirements
* 1-3 years of experience preferably in the retail business.
* Males only
* Excellent problem solving, logical thinking skills to isolate and identify potential issues in a complex environment
* Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
* Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
* Excellent communication skills
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
