Job Description
The Financial Modelling and Valuation Specialist will provide critical financial insights and analytical/ decision support to drive strategic initiatives within the Business Development division. This role involves evaluating growth opportunities (e.g., M&A, partnerships, new market opportunities and expansions), conducting due diligence, and developing financial models to guide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess M&A, joint ventures, and new market entry.
- Perform scenario/sensitivity analysis to evaluate risks and returns; calculate ROI, NPV, and IRR.
- Monitor post-investment performance against forecasts.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor financials to identify opportunities.
- Prepare reports on emerging markets and regulatory impacts.
Due Diligence Support
- Assist in financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, including reviewing financial statements and identifying risks.
- Collaborate with legal and operations teams to validate assumptions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Contribute to budgeting for new initiatives and long-term financial planning.
- Track variances and adjust forecasts as needed.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
- Clearly communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Finance Modelling and Valuation Specialist or similar role, preferably in business development department in the logistics and supply chain industry
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
- Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA/CFA and FMVA preferred.
- Strong Arabic and English language skills- verbal and written.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel abroad is important.
