Job Description
- The supervisor makes periodic checks and is available for advice on more difficult problems but basically the Asst. pharmacist helps the pharmacists to maintain the inventory as well as arranging the same.
- Place and receive orders for stock to maintain inventory.
- Maintain proper drug storage and security.
- Helps in arranging the medicines on the basis of expiry. Doing periodic expiry checking of all items as well as removing, the near expiry if any. (3 months prior to the expiry)
- Checking all aspects of prescriptions, clarifying the doubts with the pharmacists as well as the insurance (if any) and arrange the medicines for the pharmacist to dispense.
- Asst. Pharmacist cannot dispense phOM as well.
- Help customers find non-prescription items.
- Provide patients with non-drug product information
- Helps and ensures the quality of the established pharmaceutical indicators.
- Strictly observes the organizations, medical regulations and policies related to the infection control, patient safety, patient assessment and patient care.
- Ensures complains to all laws, circulars and regulations related to the pharmacy profession.
- Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirementsWork accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
- Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports
- Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
- Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
