Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and communication networks.
- Ensure that all work is performed according to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Prepare and review project documentation, such as electrical schematics, method statements, and progress reports.
Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical support and guidance to on-site teams.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical installations.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures for electrical installations.
- Monitor subcontractors and vendors to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Conduct final inspections and testing of electrical systems before handover.
Coordination and Communication:
- Liaise with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings, providing updates on electrical aspects.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure that all site activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety on-site, conducting regular safety briefings and training sessions.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 year of experience in electrical site engineering, particularly in the installation of electrical systems.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and installation practices.
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MS Office).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is a plus.
- Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards.
- Previous experience in large-scale construction projects
