Job Description
1. International Shipping & Transportation
• Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments (air, sea, land, courier) across GCC, Europe, UK, and Asia.
• Liaise with international couriers and freight forwarders (e.g., DHL, FedEx, Aramex, Maersk) to ensure accurate and timely dispatch and delivery.
• Track shipments proactively and resolve delays or routing issues promptly.
• Prepare and verify all shipping documentation including:
Commercial Invoices
Packing Lists
Certificates of Origin
Air Waybills / Bills of Lading
HS Code Declarations
2. Customs Clearance & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with local and international customs regulations, specifically for:
Egypt (NAFEZA / MTS System)
UAE (Mainland and Free Zones – e.g., JAFZA, DAFZA, ADGM)
Saudi Arabia (ZATCA guidelines)
Ireland, UK, and broader EU customs procedures
China export regulations
• Prepare, manage, and submit all necessary clearance documentation (e.g., import licenses, VAT certificates, tax cards).
• Monitor changing customs regulations and trade policies, maintaining ongoing awareness and readiness for country-specific requirements.
3. Internal Coordination
• Collaborate with Procurement, Projects, and Finance departments to align shipment schedules with project timelines and cost expectations.
• Maintain clear communication across internal teams regarding clearance statuses, shipping updates, and potential risks.
• Provide regular updates and shipping reports to management and stakeholders.
4. Documentation & Audit Readiness
• Maintain a comprehensive archive of shipping and clearance records in both physical and digital formats.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in documentation to support audits, tax claims, or supplier reconciliations.
• Record and analyze logistics KPIs (e.g., lead times, freight costs, clearance durations).
5. Regulatory & Trade Support
• Act as the point of contact for customs queries, inspections, and regulatory agency communication.
• Support tariff classification, Incoterm management, and duty optimization strategies.
• Liaise with external brokers when necessary, ensuring they are aligned with the company's compliance standards.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on logistics coordination experience in a multinational or regionally trading business.
• Proven experience handling multinational customs requirements, especially in mainland and free zone environments.
• Deep understanding of:
Incoterms (2020)
HS Codes & Tariff Classification
Import/Export Licensing
Customs Duty, VAT, and Compliance
• Experience with NAFEZA (Egypt), ZATCA (Saudi Arabia), and GCC Customs is a strong advantage.
Skills & Attributes:
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Excellent coordination, time management, and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with external authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and logistics platforms (e.g., DHL MyDHL+, FedEx Insight, ERP Systems).
