Job Description
To manage and oversee all farm operations, including crop production, labor management, equipment maintenance, and overall resource planning, ensuring maximum productivity, quality, and profitability in line with the organization’s agricultural goals.
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily farm activities such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, fertilizing, and pest control.
- Manage the farm team and allocate labor resources efficiently.
- Monitor crop growth and soil conditions to ensure optimal yield and quality.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of farming equipment and infrastructure.
- Implement and monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of production, labor, costs, and equipment usage.
- Develop and manage the farm’s annual operating budget.
- Collaborate with agricultural specialists, suppliers, and buyers.
- Use modern technology and agricultural techniques to improve farm productivity.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust farming activities accordingly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on farm management experience.
- Knowledge of modern farming methods and agricultural machinery.
- Experience in crop production and soil management.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in outdoor environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with farm management software is a plus.
