Job Description
- The Agriculture Engineer Sector Manager fully oversees all palm farm operations, leading expansion through developing new cultivated areas and productive offshoot propagation, while managing operational economics and directing production towards export markets under global quality standards.
- Manage daily care of date palms (irrigation, fertilization, pruning, pest control, and nutrition programs).
- Execute seasonal agricultural plans with high efficiency.
- Monitor tree health and improve productivity.
- Develop cultivated areas through planting productive offshoots.
- Manage operational economy and control operating costs.
- Coordinate with quality, marketing, and export departments.
- Prepare operational, technical, and financial reports for senior management.
- Develop and motivate agricultural work teams.
- Ensure full compliance with occupational safety standards and international quality regulations.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or an equivalent related field.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in managing date palm farms, including agricultural expansion projects and production development.
Financial Competency: Proven experience in operational economics and controlling farm costs to achieve productivity and profitability.
Technical Skills: Advanced skills in offshoot propagation and successful expansion of cultivated areas.
Quality and Certifications: Practical and certified knowledge of international agricultural quality systems such as GLOBAL GAP or equivalent.
Operations Management: Proficiency in agricultural operations management systems and the preparation of accurate periodic operational reports.
