Job Description

Job Purpose:

GIS quality control engineer provide recommendations for quality control procedure and work process improvements in reference to specification documents, review spatial database updates performed by the data management team, and perform quality control tasks using Arc GIS

Responsibilities :

Define and develop methods to enhance content product quality and improve QA and release productivity
Design and develop test harnesses for different types of web services and data content in various ArcGIS formats
Ensure key content production workflows for content, system QA, and release perform satisfactorily and efficiently
Collaborate with cartographic product engineers, project managers, and systems engineers to understand production workflows, assess risks, and design cutting-edge QA and web release automation tools
Help support certification of system releases for online content including ArcGIS Online base maps, demographics, and landscape

Compensations :

Job Requirements

Ability to work safely and act as a positive and productive team member.
Strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures
Strong analytical and problem solving skills related to Quality Control review and reporting tasks
Experience with ArcGIS software applications.
Experience in converting data from Auto Cad to Arc GIS
Experience in Arc view (geo database including topology and geometric networks)
Experience with (ISO 19113 quality principles) & (ISO 19114 quality evaluation procedure)
